Dates: Feb. 18th & 19th training days (see below) / Feb. 20th - 22nd Competition Days.

This year’s competition will be shorter than usual due to the HG World Championships, which will be held from February 28th till March 13th in this same location; however we have designed a project specifically for this important new class in our sport.

The format we present to you will consist of two days of training including mentoring, chats and tips from advanced and top pilots like Pedro García and Rudy Gotés, followed by three days of competition flying. During the competition, the tasks will be set in a way that you will get the opportunity to fly with the Open Class pilots in some sections of the route.

The “El Peñón Classic Race 2015” is already sanctioned and will count towards the World Pilot Ranking System (WPRS), so remember to have your FAI license up to date!

The registration fee for the Sport Class is $120 (usd), including the 2-day training. We are also organizing a retrieve service for those pilots who are interested; it will cost $100 (usd) + gas expenses for the 5 days. For this, we do need a minimum of 6 pilots to require the service.

Please fill out the registration form; make sure to fill out all the necessary details including whether you need retrieve or not. There is a competition waiver that you need to complete, sign and send back by email as well. Once you have completed your application, you will receive an email with the necessary information for payment and the waiver. Please keep in mind that it is very important for the organization to be able to know how many participants we will have as soon as possible so that we can organize things in the best possible way; for this reason, there will be a small surcharge of $20 (usd) for pilots paying last minute.
